Piece Description:
I'll Be Your Father #8 is a Kombucha 'mother' portrait by Eric Bessel that begins to take on more color. He describes the earlier pieces in the series as, "thin and generally whitish in appearance, like a skin that might form on vanilla pudding."
Bessel explain his process:
I set out determined to become a suitable [Kombucha] host. In what seemed like no time at all, my kitchen cupboard’s shelves began to resemble a vitrine filled with jars of new kombucha mothers at various stages of development.
Each print in the series is available as an artist supervised, pencil signed, print-to-order edition of (3) with (2) artist proofs. The APs are not currently available online. Purchases will be numbered 1-3 depending on availability.
